“Paradores Is Another World” uses craft as a strategy: f Paradores is a unique destination, its world cannot look “like just any other.”We decided to turn the brand proposition — traveling to a unique place and living a singular experience — into illustrated worldbuilding:four original pieces, one per season, where each scene sensorially materializes that “Paradores reality” through its own distinctive visual language.
Through controlled surrealism (zero gravity, impossible scales, situations that defy logic), illustration does not decorate — it explains the difference in the experience and makes it memorable at a glance. Execution and craft are not aesthetics for aesthetics’ sake; they are the exact language needed to tell “what only happens at Paradores” in each season.
In addition, in every season the concept “is another world” is visually integrated within the illustration and woven into the everyday lives of the characters. In spring, the concept is trimmed into hedges by a gardener; in summer, shaped like a sandcastle by children; in autumn, carved into the wood of a throne as a declaration of love; and finally, in winter, built by a family as if it were a snowman.
In contrast to the visual standardization driven by AI, here the difference is defined by the human hand: intention, judgment and personality in every graphic decision made by illustrator Óscar Llorens together with the creative team.
